I am sorry to tell of the death of John Serino, VK7UJ, following a period of poor health.   He was 78 years old.

John was born in Italy and became interested in radio as a teenager, obtaining his amateur licence with the call I1UJ.

Some years after moving to Australia, John passed the Australian exam and obtained the call VK7UJ.

He was an enthusiastic Morse operator and after his first year as VK7UJ, he told me that he had talked to a 9 year old, a 90 year old and to someone sending Morse with his foot.
