                REBALANCING INSTRUCTIONS FOR MIDWEST
                       16 TUBE = 1934 MODEL

                                          s TETa——
            Procedure for rebalancing e Sre
Model Y& as follows: = -

The I¢F, Amplifier is- designed to operate at 450
KeCs Peak the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, I.F. Transformers to maximum
Ag Foq output Do not measure A.,V.C. Voltage as ususlly done,
Trim small A.V.C. Amplifier to maximum A.Fe Output,

To trim ReF. and oscillator circuits and mixer clr-
cuits proceed as followss Turn wave change switch to "M" posies
tion, rotate dal to 12 m8gReycles, Adjust trimmers in oscile
lator and mixer section, Set switch to "L" position and adjust
trimmers in Re.F, mixer and oscillator sections at 4.5 megacycles.
Turn dlal to le6 megacycles to adjust padder in oscillator secw
tion, Turn switch to "A" position and adjust trimmers in R.F.
mixer and oscillator sections at 1500 K.C. Adjust "A" padder
at 530 KeCe Turn switch to "E" position end adjust trimmers lm— -
ReFoe mixer and osclllatdor sections to 370 K.C. Adjust "E" oscile-
lator padder to 160 XK,C,

An enclosed print will show the location at the vare
lous trimmers and padders., On "I" band no adjustment can be made
as this 1s accomplished at the factory by adjustlng the spacing
of the turns.

If osclllator does not cover the needed frequencies
1t may be obtained by using harmonics of your oscillator,
