o EDITORIAL -
. This month,QRM has been used to include the full 4
Oo programme for TARC 79 ; which is,for the uninitiated, s
oo a gathering of amateurs, listeners and any interested ]
o persons, with activities for all the family, i
00 The programme was included in QRM from financial ]
oo considerations, but mainly so that all who read this
CQO issue, will have an idea of what an amateur convention ]
902 is about and what is has to offer,
Even by the time you read this,it would not
be too late to indicate that you wish to come
along to all or part of the weekend,
For my part,I hope to meet as many of QRM's
readers as possible and perhaps receive some
feedback on the bulletin itself,
See you at Alanvale on the 17th,
Ken Kirkman VK7ZKT

This antenna is designed so that it can be dismantellec for
storage and transport. As the drawings of the plug-in elements
show,it is possible to use stiff rod or flexible steel tape to
make up the additional length of the director and reflector,If
able to use steel tape this would moke it very useful 17 using
the antenna in wooded areas.
The inner parts of the elements are made of &mm Dia brass
tube and should be soldered to the boom. The use of a small blow
torch would be handy here,
Approximately 52cm of 2nm copper wire s required for the
matching line and 1s bent tc suit,After location,K the wire and
the ceramic or plastic beads should both be gluec in place,
