       The circui-t is shown above              and is quite .straightforward.       The oscillator           is not
 keyed because with. some             crystals,    operation is very sluggish.        The 'fcwo -tra. nsis-fco rs
  in the o u-tpu-t stage were sdacted              from about half a dozen from oircui-b boards                 and
  both draw about -the same current (no need for equalizing resistors)., The Power Input
  depends on the battery used and also -bo a very large extent on -bhe DC •resist ance of
  the RFC. Mine runs           about 500 mW with a 9 volt battery.           Using 15 volts      i-b will comfort-
  a bly run 1 wa-b-fc, (The transis-bors don-t even feel warm, al-bliough remember, -this is
  only CW. )                  The Qutpu-t Tank is an L network. It is broadly resonant in the' ,
  band and all tuning is done with -the sta-biion aerial -tuning unit for maximum 0/P.
  If preferred,      a pi-network could. be subs-ti-fcu-fced, the values bein^ calcula'ked from
  recent      articles   in    AR.

        The coils are best found by experimen-b since the formers I used came out of an
  o Id BC set. L2 is a'bou-fc 8 to 10 turns wound over LI.
        The little ri           certainly gives a good account of itself. I have received 5/9+
  signal repor-fcs around, -tlie town and. with a bit o f luck amd a lo-t of patience, it
  should be no -trouble            to get out of VK7 on ill
