1915 Marconi Spark Trench Set
The accompanying photograph shows troops undergoing wireless telegraphy training in 1916 at Mitcham Army Camp, South Australia. This is the set shown in the picture. The apparatus was then sent to Mesopotamia where it was used on active service by members of the Australian 3rd Division Signals Corps. It was transported on horseback.
