1[he last twelve months has seen a faLr yearr s tracling with a
total income of $548.00 through store- sa1es. fhls year has also been
the first year that the Equipment Store has operated with its own
bankir:g system due to the adrrance of $100.00 from the general acoount
and has worked out very satisfactory, allowing for the prompt payment
of aecounts and the purchasing of itens for the members use without the
need. to chase the Treasurer for money.
Component sales were almost the same as last yearr but mag
pubs sales a"re d.own on 1981. Income from what can loosely be ca11ed.
I{isc. Income taltes care of such ''areas as raffles, ex-channel nine fV
gBar, etc., while'the 1982 cel'r ok publication sales provid.ed. a good
service to members at a good '--Ling price.
The whole futrre of the Equipment Store needs to be looked
at with regartl to what areas of rembership se:srice shoulcl .rernain and.
what shoulcl go. We, in no way, can compete with the Iopa1 tracle houses
in launceston, so rnaybe the Equipment Store should strive to provid.e
a service to members for the rrllard to Gettr parts. Anyway this area
will be reviewecl as the year progresses.
I woulil like to thank those nemorers who have supported ihe
Equipment Store and look forwarcl for their support in 1)82, together
with any suggestions for a more efficient Equipment Store.
